Photo Strip Printer & Layout Guide
Looking to print your photo booth strips? Here is everything you need to know about standard 2x6 strip sizes, 4x6 dual printing, and pharmacy photo services.
Standard 2x6 Size
Classic photo booth strips measure 2x6 inches (5x15 cm) at 300 DPI (600x1800 pixels).
Local Photo Labs
Upload a prepared 4x6 image to a photo lab. Check its crop preview, available paper finishes and current pickup options before ordering.
Dual Strip Layout
One 4x6 print paper holds two 2x6 photo strips side-by-side. Slice down the middle to cut!
Check your printer before buying supplies
Confirm supported paper sizes, the required ink or ribbon set, and the connection to your phone or computer. A printer that supports 4x6 photos does not necessarily cut them into two strips. Use only compatible media; inkjet photo paper is not interchangeable with a dye-sublimation paper and ribbon kit.
For the full export and cutting workflow, follow the photo booth strip printing guide. Check exact dimensions in the photo strip size chart.
How to Print Photo Strips at Home (Step-by-Step)
Download and Prepare a 4x6 Sheet
Download your design and check its proportions. For a 2x6 strip at 300 PPI, use 600 x 1800 pixels. In a layout app, place two strips beside each other on a portrait 1200 x 1800 pixel canvas. The editor does not automatically create this dual-strip sheet.
Configure Printer Settings
Select 4x6 inch paper, the media setting for your actual paper, and high quality. Use actual size or 100% scale when available. Check borderless expansion and automatic cropping in the preview, then measure one test print.
Print and Trim Down the Middle
Once printed, use a craft knife, paper cutter, or scissors to cut along the central guidelines to produce two perfect 2x6 photo booth strips!
